Si and Marcos married in an intimate October ceremony at a private residence in New Milford, CT, then headed to Lovers Leap for autumn portraits. This micro wedding gathered their closest family and friends in person, with many more dear friends watching live over Zoom.
This wedding had our hearts. Our photographer had to give up her husband and assistant so he could officiate the marriage of friends while she shot the day. Si and Marcos chose October for their fall wedding, gathering their closest family and friends for an intimate ceremony at a private residence in New Milford, CT.
After the vows, everyone hopped over to Lovers Leap for some autumn vibes. What made the day even more special was having so many dear friends tied in over Zoom — a lot of people who would have loved to be there couldn't make it in person. There were bees, a groomsman stung mid-ceremony, and a memorable near-fall on a log.
Earthy tones, fall colors, and all the feels. Bouquets and boutonnieres came from Tifah at Juniper Glenn, and the cake from Storeybook Cakes. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Mendoza.
“They couldn't have chosen a better day for their fall wedding.”
Good to know
From an intimate ceremony at a private New Milford residence to autumn portraits at Lovers Leap, an October Connecticut wedding wears its earthy tones and fall colors beautifully. Let's tell your story the same way.
View our photographyNew Milford sits in Litchfield County in western Connecticut, along the Housatonic River, and is known for one of the largest town greens in New England. Its rolling, wooded landscape makes early-to-mid October one of the most reliable windows for peak fall foliage in the state, which is why couples seek out earthy autumn color here.
Lovers Leap State Park, just south of New Milford's center, is a Connecticut state park along a gorge of the Housatonic River. It is best known for its historic 1895 Berlin Iron Bridge and the rocky overlook above the river, both of which give couples dramatic natural backdrops within a short drive of a private-residence ceremony. Trails are walkable but uneven and wooded, so couples planning portraits there should allow extra time and wear footing-appropriate shoes for the rocks and logs.
