Bethany and Tyler are an engaged couple who came down to Key Largo in the Florida Keys for a beach engagement session ahead of their upcoming wedding. Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York City photography studio working since 2004, photographed the swimsuit session on the sand.
Bethany and Tyler traveled down to Key Largo, the northernmost island of the Florida Keys, for both a vacation and their engagement session. With their wedding coming up soon, the two used the trip to take photos on the beach, rocking a bathing-suit session by the water.
Acromatico photographed the session, and the studio called it one they absolutely loved working on. As they put it, the couple must have been models, and the Keys never fail to deliver perfect weather, beach, and sun.
“The Florida Keys: where weather, beach and sun are always perfect.”
Good to know
Key Largo is the first and northernmost island in the Florida Keys, reached from the mainland via U.S. Highway 1 (the Overseas Highway) south of Miami-Dade County. As the closest Key to South Florida, it is the most accessible island in the chain for couples traveling down from Miami or Fort Lauderdale for a beach photo session, making it a natural choice for an engagement shoot paired with a short vacation.
The island is known for its calm Atlantic shoreline, shallow turquoise water, and reliably warm, sunny weather year-round, which is exactly what makes it work for swimsuit and beach engagement sessions. Key Largo is also home to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, the first undersea park in the United States, a useful landmark for couples orienting themselves on the island.
