Jocelin and Gabriel had their engagement session at the Brickell Bay Marina in Miami, Florida, photographed by Acromatico, a family-run photography and brand studio. A few drops of rain rolled in, but the couple made it work ahead of their October wedding.
Jocelin and Gabriel chose the Brickell Bay Marina in Miami for their engagement session. Gabriel traveled all the way from Key Largo for the shoot, which fit a routine he already knew well, having driven up every weekend to see his girlfriend, now his fiancee. Florida weather tried to give the day a hard time with a few drops of rain, but the couple and the Acromatico team made it work.
At the time of this session the two were engaged and planning to be married that October. We wished them the very best and shared a few of our favorite frames from the day.
“Florida tried to give us a hard time with a few drops, despite the rain, we made it work!”
Good to know
Brickell Bay Marina sits along Biscayne Bay in the Brickell district of Miami, Florida, the dense financial and residential neighborhood just south of downtown. The waterfront setting gives couples open bay views, boat slips, and the Brickell skyline as a backdrop, all within easy reach of the city core.
Brickell is one of Miami's most walkable urban neighborhoods, served by the Metromover and lined with high-rises, restaurants, and bayfront walkways. For engagement and couples sessions, the marina and nearby bay edge offer water, sky, and skyline in a single location. South Florida light shifts fast and brief rain showers are common, so building flexibility into the shoot schedule, as we did here, helps keep a session on track.
