Tintu + Nemo · Central Park Indian Engagement | New York, NY

Tintu and Nemo had their Indian engagement session photographed by Acromatico in Central Park, New York City, on a spring day in April. The two met in college nearly 10 years earlier, and at the time of the shoot their wedding, relocated from India to the United States, was coming up the following month.

Tintu and Nemo reached out to Acromatico during quarantine and scheduled what was planned as the perfect spring day in April for their Central Park Indian engagement session. The two met in college almost 10 years ago; it was not love at first sight for her, and he was quickly friend-zoned before that changed. They had not had the easiest year, having to move their wedding plans from India to here in the middle of a pandemic.

The session began with all the signs of spring in the city, but as soon as the first shutter clicked, raindrops came down. Rather than reschedule, the shoot continued rain or shine. They played around with mega bubbles and hid under Bethesda Terrace along with everyone else stuck in the park, staying dry while the photographer kept shooting. The rain eventually stopped, the park came back to life, and a brief ray of sun appeared at the right moment as a natural spotlight. At the time of this session, the wedding was still upcoming the following month.

“The one thing I knew is we were shooting in Central Park rain or shine!”
