Acromatico photographed the musical duo Spencer and Sequoia performing a sold-out, full-house concert at the Arts Garage in Delray Beach, Florida. The husband-and-wife pair were joined on stage by Drew Tucker on vibraphone and Claudens Louis on saxophone for a live show telling their love story through music.
After following the duo on social media for a while, our family-run studio finally got to hear Spencer and Sequoia live, and we photographed their sold-out, full-house show at the Arts Garage in Delray Beach. The pair shared their love story on stage, describing how they fell for each other's music and songwriting as "love at first sound" rather than the usual cliche of love at first sight, telling their life story through song.
They performed with a full band: Drew Tucker on vibraphone (not a xylophone) and Claudens Louis on saxophone. Their voices filled the room with love and energy, and it was a heart-melting, fun show to watch. It was an honor to shoot Spencer and Sequoia, and we can't wait for them to come back to Florida again.
“It was "love at first sound" rather than the usual cliche of love at first sight.”
Good to know
The Arts Garage is an intimate performing-arts venue in downtown Delray Beach, Florida, located in the Pineapple Grove Arts District just off Atlantic Avenue in Palm Beach County. It hosts live music, jazz, theater and visual-art programming in a small, close-quarters room, which is part of why a "full-house" night there feels especially personal for both performers and audience.
For musicians and concert photographers, the venue's compact scale means the stage and the crowd share the same warm, contained space, ideal for capturing a duo and a tight band like vibraphone and saxophone up close. Its central location on the Atlantic Avenue corridor puts it within walking distance of Delray Beach's restaurants and galleries, making it a natural stop on a South Florida live-music night.
