Rosie and Odie married at the Shane Center in Miami, Florida, with an outdoor ceremony overlooking the water. They got ready at the Fontainebleau, did a first look before the ceremony, and danced through a hora loca. Acromatico photographed the day.
Rosie and Odie, whom Acromatico had earlier photographed for an engagement session in the summer, got ready for their wedding at the Fontainebleau in Miami. Too eager to wait until the ceremony to see each other, they shared a first look beforehand, where Odie could not take his eyes off his bride.
Despite crazy weather that day, their outdoor ceremony overlooking the water at the Shane Center came together beautifully. Later, Rosie changed into a second dress to dance through the hora loca.
“Despite the crazy weather, their outdoor ceremony overlooking the water at the Shane Center was just beautiful.”
Good to know
The Shane Center sits on the water in Miami Beach, Florida, which is what makes its outdoor, waterfront ceremony setting possible — vows take place overlooking the bay rather than inside a ballroom. For couples planning a wedding here, the open-air location means the same coastal light and breeze that define a Miami Beach celebration, along with the reality of South Florida's quick-changing weather, which Rosie and Odie embraced for their own ceremony.
Many Miami Beach weddings pair a waterfront ceremony with getting-ready suites at one of the area's landmark hotels. Rosie and Odie prepared at the Fontainebleau in Miami before heading to the ceremony — a common rhythm for couples splitting the day between a hotel base and an on-the-water venue. Acromatico photographs weddings across South Florida and New York City, so we're comfortable moving between hotel interiors and bright outdoor waterfront settings in a single day.
