Geeta + Vir · Sikh-Punjabi Wedding | Glen Cove, NY

Geeta and Vir married in a Sikh-Punjabi wedding in Glen Cove, on the North Shore of Long Island, New York, photographed by Acromatico. Held mid-pandemic with close family, the day is remembered for Geeta breaking tradition and riding her own horse during her Baraat.

Geeta and Vir held their Sikh-Punjabi wedding in Glen Cove, Long Island, New York, joined by their very close family members in the middle of the pandemic. Acromatico photographed the day alongside Heather, working masked and covered up throughout. What made it unforgettable was Geeta breaking traditions and boundaries: she rode her own horse during her own Baraat, with smoke bombs going everywhere as the bride rode in style.

The day was full of life, celebration and color explosions. The couple had originally planned to marry in Mexico, and although the wedding happened in New York instead, it remained one Acromatico won't forget. The team gave shout-outs to the people they worked with: Amee and her team at Karma Events, cinematography by Williamson and his team at Park Street Weddings, hair and makeup by Khadija, and catering by Moghul Express.

“She rode her own horse during her very own Baraat. Needless to say, it was extremely epic.”
