Lyndsay and Matthew, longtime best friends who traveled from Pennsylvania with family and friends, married at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, over a long holiday weekend. Their reception was held in the resort's rotating rooftop lounge, with a 360-degree view of the city below.
Lyndsay and Matthew had been best friends for years before they decided to tie the knot, choosing a long holiday weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida for their destination wedding. They came all the way from Pennsylvania, bringing their family and friends along, and said their "I do's" at the Hyatt Regency Pier 66.
Their reception took place at the very top of the resort, in the rotating lounge with its 360-degree view of the city. Acromatico, a family-run photography and brand studio working across South Florida and New York City since 2004, photographed the celebration right at our own footsteps.
“Their beautiful reception took place all the way up top with an awesome rotating 360 degree view of the city.”
Good to know
The Hyatt Regency Pier 66 sits on the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, near the Port Everglades inlet and the 17th Street Causeway. The property is best known for its circular tower, whose top floor houses a rotating lounge that completes a full turn to give couples and guests a continuously changing 360-degree view of the waterway, the city skyline, and the Atlantic beyond.
The resort's waterfront setting makes it a natural fit for destination weddings: out-of-town guests, like Lyndsay and Matthew's from Pennsylvania, can fly into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport just minutes away and stay on-site. The marina, the Intracoastal, and nearby Fort Lauderdale Beach give a photographer a wide range of backdrops within a short distance of the ceremony.
