Liz and Luis were married at the Charles Deering Estate, the historic bayfront park on Biscayne Bay, after getting ready at the Hyatt in Coral Gables. Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York City photography studio, photographed the full day, from prep through the ceremony and reception held at the estate.
Acromatico had already worked with Liz and Luis once before, at a dynamic engagement session at the Miami Fair, so the wedding was a reunion as much as an assignment. The day began at the Hyatt Hotel in Coral Gables, where the couple got ready, then moved to the Charles Deering Estate, where both the ceremony and reception were held.
From beginning to end, this was a beautiful wedding, and the studio had a blast capturing each part of it. These are the moments Liz and Luis can relive, photographed exactly as they unfolded across the day.
“This was a beautiful wedding from beginning to end.”
Good to know
The Charles Deering Estate is a historic property and Miami-Dade County park set on the shoreline of Biscayne Bay in South Florida. The grounds pair early-twentieth-century architecture with native coastal habitat, pine rockland, and open water views, which gives a wedding here a built-in mix of stone-and-bay backdrops without needing to travel between locations. Because the ceremony and reception can both be held on the estate grounds, as they were for Liz and Luis, the day stays in one place and the bayfront light carries from afternoon into evening.
Liz and Luis got ready at the Hyatt in Coral Gables, a short drive from the estate and a practical home base for hair, makeup, and first-look coverage before heading to the venue. Coral Gables sits just west of the bay and keeps the prep, ceremony, and reception within an easy Miami-Dade radius, which is part of why the area pairs well with a Deering Estate wedding day.
