Jessica and Joe married at Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables, Miami, Florida, with a beachy, sandy ceremony and an oceanfront reception at the Red Fish Grill. Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York City brand and photography studio, photographed their first look and their big day.
Jessica and Joe's ceremony took place at Matheson Hammock Park, in a breezy, beachy, sunny and sandy environment along the water. They shared a "first look" before the ceremony, where Joe could not keep his eyes off his bride, and the day was made warmer still by both of their families, who were tons of fun to work with.
The reception followed at the Red Fish Grill, where guests danced the night away to the breeze coming off the ocean. This was one of the final weddings of the year for Acromatico, and one the studio was genuinely excited to photograph on the last weekend of 2012.
“They had their first look prior to their ceremony, and Joe could not keep his eyes off his stunning bride.”
Good to know
Matheson Hammock Park is a historic county park in Coral Gables, just south of downtown Miami, Florida, set along Biscayne Bay. It is one of the oldest parks in Miami-Dade County and is known for its man-made atoll pool, its palm-lined beach, and dense coastal hammock, which together give ceremonies the breezy, sandy, oceanfront feel Jessica and Joe enjoyed.
The Red Fish Grill sits inside Matheson Hammock Park itself, which makes it a natural pairing for a ceremony held in the park. Its waterfront setting along Biscayne Bay means couples can move from a beach ceremony to an oceanside reception without a long drive between locations, with the breeze off the water carrying through the evening. Couples searching for a Matheson Hammock Park wedding photographer should know the park's coastal light and open water make late-afternoon and golden-hour coverage especially worthwhile.
