Esther and Adam were married at the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West, Florida, holding both their ceremony and reception at the historic property. Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York photography studio, traveled down to the Florida Keys to photograph this destination wedding.
For their destination wedding, Esther and Adam chose the Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum in Key West as the setting for both their ceremony and their reception. Esther looked beautiful walking down the aisle, a timeless beauty on a very special day in the Florida Keys.
Acromatico has always loved destination weddings, and especially traveling to the Florida Keys to cover them. Each one is different, fun, and full of energy, and this celebration at the Hemingway House was no exception.
“We always love destination weddings and especially traveling to the Florida Keys to cover them, because all of them are so different, fun and full of energy every time.”
Good to know
The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum sits at 907 Whitehead Street in Old Town Key West, Florida, the southernmost city in the continental United States. The Spanish Colonial–style house, where the author lived in the 1930s, is a designated National Historic Landmark and is well known for the descendants of Hemingway's cats that still roam the grounds. Its lush tropical gardens make the property a recognizable spot for both ceremonies and receptions.
Key West is the last of the Florida Keys reachable by car, at the end of the Overland Highway (US-1). Couples and photographers traveling from the South Florida mainland should plan for the long but scenic drive down through the island chain, or fly into Key West International Airport. Because the venue is a working museum, couples typically book events for after public visiting hours, so timelines should account for golden-hour light in Old Town.
