Annalise and Ryan married at the Key Largo Lighthouse, a destination wedding in Key Largo in the Florida Keys, photographed by Acromatico. Heavy rain fell throughout the day, but the couple said their vows surrounded by family and friends and made the most of it.
For this wedding, Acromatico headed down to the Florida Keys, to Key Largo. Annalise and Ryan held their destination wedding at the Key Largo Lighthouse. Despite the rain that kept coming down, Annalise looked gorgeous in her dress, and Ryan was speechless as he watched her walk down the aisle.
Surrounded by their family and friends, Annalise and Ryan said their "I do's." No rain could ruin their special day. They made the best of it, and Acromatico enjoyed capturing the celebration.
“No matter what, this was their special day, and no rain could ruin it.”
Good to know
Key Largo is the northernmost and largest island in the Florida Keys, reached from the South Florida mainland via U.S. Highway 1 (the Overseas Highway) in Monroe County. It is the first of the Keys you arrive at driving south from Miami-Dade County, making it one of the most accessible Keys destinations for a wedding with traveling guests.
As Annalise and Ryan's day showed, rain is always a possibility in the subtropical Keys, where afternoon showers can move through quickly. A waterfront or open-air venue like a Key Largo lighthouse setting benefits from a covered backup plan and a photography team comfortable working in changing light and weather. Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York City studio working since 2004, photographs across the Keys and the wider South Florida region.
