Ale's underwater maternity session was the first underwater maternity shoot ever photographed by Acromatico, our family-run photography and brand studio working across South Florida and New York City. It was made in a private pool generously lent by the Bosque Family.
This was the first time Acromatico tried an underwater maternity session, and it was one we loved making. The shoot was only possible because the Bosque Family let us use their pool, and we are hugely grateful to them for that.
The session carried a personal note for our family-run studio as well: at the time of this shoot we were counting down to meeting our own little son, very soon.
“So this is the first time we try a maternity session underwater, and we loved it.”
Good to know
Acromatico is a family-run photography and brand studio founded in 2004, working across South Florida and New York City. Our work is grounded in a dark, fine-art "Brand Studio" aesthetic, and we approach each session as something crafted rather than simply captured.
Underwater maternity sessions are among the most logistically involved portrait formats. They depend on a controlled, private pool, clear water, and warm conditions, which is part of why a generous host like the Bosque Family makes the difference. If you are planning an underwater or pool-based maternity session in the South Florida or New York City area, the venue and water conditions matter as much as the timing, so it is worth scoping the location early in your pregnancy.
