Ale's first maternity session was photographed in Key West, Florida — the southernmost city in the continental United States, at the end of the Florida Keys. Captured by Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York City photography studio, this was an unplanned weekend mini session that turned into a personal favorite.
While in Key West for a weekend, Ale did a spontaneous mini photo session — her first maternity session. Though it wasn't planned, the time away became the setting for a small set of favorite frames.
Usually more at home behind the lens, Ale was photographed by her husband for this one. His help made the experience comfortable, and together they came away with a few shots they were happy with.
“Even though it wasn't planned we got to do a mini photo session for my first maternity session.”
Good to know
Key West is the southernmost city in the continental United States, sitting at the very end of the Overseas Highway (U.S. Route 1) in Monroe County, at the tail of the Florida Keys. Reached by car across a chain of bridges or by air through Key West International Airport, it is known for its compact, walkable historic Old Town, its waterfront, and its position between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
The island's relaxed, water-surrounded setting makes it a natural fit for an unplanned weekend maternity or portrait session — exactly the kind of trip that turned into Ale's first maternity shoot. Acromatico is a family-run photography and brand studio founded in 2004, working across South Florida and New York City, so the Keys fall within the studio's home region.
