What do Sunday’s and snow days have in common? My camera.
Woke up to a text. 2 hours later we met up. Where to? Wherever. Headed to Pawling Park. Nothing was planned. The colors were perfect. Tifah absolutely rocked this by just being herself. A true winter wonderland: playground version.
Free spirited, happy and go with the flow. Loved her energy during this shoot. It was absolutely one I will never forget. Not only did we get to shoot in a fun playground in the middle of a snow fall but we shot right on a frozen lake. Yes. I totally overcame my childhood fear of falling inside a frozen lake. Also, if you know me, I’m not really scared of much except everything and nothing. T e r r i f i e d of bees (but overcame that too). Honestly, these Disney movies get you (thanks Balto!). I knew the only way I’d be on a frozen lake was if it was absolutely worth it. Give me a camera and I’ll probably go sky diving (jk) but you get the point.
Oh. There was also a big fat warning sign that said THIN ICE.
We fell a few times, laughed so hard I fell again. I had as much fun shooting as I did watching this girl just be her. I also think that’s super important. Just be you. It’ll show. Photos don’t lie.
Sometimes, you just need these kind of days. Where you go wherever they take you and sometimes they just take you where you’ve never been. Just fun. Enjoy some of my faves from this snow photo shoot right in Pawling, NY:
