For this engagement session, Tiffany and Brendan traveled all the way from Utah to Miami Beach to be photographed by Acromatico. It marked our final session of the year and the first post of the new one, which made the shoot feel like a fitting bridge between chapters.

Miami Beach is a barrier-island city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, separated from the city of Miami by Biscayne Bay and connected to the mainland by a series of causeways. Its Atlantic shoreline, wide sandy beaches, and the pastel Art Deco architecture of the South Beach Architectural District give couples a range of backdrops within a compact, walkable area, which is part of why it draws couples from across the country, including, in this case, all the way from Utah.
For an engagement session, the oceanfront light here shifts dramatically through the day: soft and directional at sunrise on the east-facing Atlantic side, and warm and diffused in the later afternoon. Couples planning a shoot in Miami Beach should account for the subtropical climate, frequent afternoon humidity, and the popularity of the beaches, which tend to be quieter early in the morning.
