Tintu and Nirmal (Nemo) celebrated their Indian wedding at Terrace on the Park in Queens, NY. Despite a downpour and the ongoing pandemic, the hard-working nurse and civil engineer filled the room with color, dancing, and joy alongside a vendor team led by Karma Events.
This wedding was special. We had the pleasure of shooting Tintu and Nirmal's engagement session earlier that spring, during the prettiest cherry blossom season in New York. It rained on both days, and on their wedding day it poured. Despite the rain and being in the middle of a pandemic, nothing could stop this nurse and civil engineer from enjoying the best day of their lives together.
We got to work with the most amazing team thanks to Amee and her team at Karma Events, who made sure the whole process went smoothly. From the DJ to the sparklers, the baristas to the decor, the photobooth to the MC, everything came alive. All the love, all the emotions, the colors, the vibrancy, the life right there in one room.
We had the best team to experience this with thanks to Heather and our video crew. Hosted at Terrace on the Park, with decor by Exclusive Events NY, this was a night of dances, smiles, and music where nothing mattered but the moment.
“We've never met a couple that can smile through it all while also making you feel like you've been a part of their family and friends all your life.”
Good to know
From cherry blossom engagements to rain-soaked celebrations at Terrace on the Park, we capture the love, the colors, and the life in every moment. If you're planning an Indian wedding in New York, we'd love to become part of your family's story too.
View our photographyTerrace on the Park is a banquet and event venue in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens, New York City. The building was originally constructed as the heliport for the 1964–65 New York World's Fair, and its upper-floor ballrooms sit on tall pillars that give panoramic views over the park and the Manhattan skyline. It is a longtime favorite for large South Asian and multicultural weddings because of its sizable ballroom space and ample parking inside the park.
The venue sits beside landmarks like the Unisphere and the New York State Pavilion, and Flushing Meadows–Corona Park offers open green space for portraits. The elevated views and the surrounding park give a wedding photographer both interior ballroom scale and outdoor backdrops within a short walk, which matters on a day when, as ours proved, the weather may not cooperate.
