Sherri and Ian's engagement session was photographed by Acromatico in Miami Beach, Florida, under a beautifully lit sky with gorgeous weather. The clouds and light over the barrier-island coastline were so good the studio admits it took a few more frames than usual.
We were so excited to share Sherri and Ian's engagement session, photographed in Miami Beach. The sky and clouds were beautifully lit, and with such gorgeous weather, we couldn't help but take a few more pictures than usual.
Sessions like this one are exactly why we love shooting along Miami Beach's coast: the natural light does so much of the work, and the day's conditions set the tone for every frame Sherri and Ian gave us to work with.

Good to know
Miami Beach is a barrier-island city in Miami-Dade County, Florida, separated from the city of Miami by Biscayne Bay and connected to the mainland by a series of causeways. Its Atlantic-facing eastern edge is a long, continuous public beach, while the western side meets the bay — which gives couples two very different light directions in one compact location. The famous Art Deco Historic District along Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue adds pastel architecture and clean lines that pair well with open-sky portraits.
For engagement sessions, the open eastern shoreline means the quality of a given day's clouds and light matters enormously, exactly as it did for Sherri and Ian. Morning brings softer, front-lit ocean light; late afternoon turns the sky and any passing clouds dramatic. Because the beach is public and popular, weekday or early sessions tend to be calmer, and the island's walkable scale lets a couple move between sand, boardwalk, and Deco backdrops without a long drive.
