Jessica and Kiran married at the Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale in Plantation, Florida, in a joyful Indian-Jewish fusion celebration photographed by Acromatico. A thunderstorm raged outside, but inside the party stayed lit, a return for our studio after photographing Jessica's sister's wedding.
When you bring an Indian family and a Jewish family together for one wedding, you get one of the funnest celebrations there is. That is exactly what Jessica and Kiran's day at the Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale in Plantation, Florida, turned out to be. A huge thunderstorm rolled in outside the building, but inside, the party was lit from start to finish.
For Acromatico, this was a homecoming. We have known the Levine family for many years, dating back to when Jessica's sister got married, and we feel blessed to keep photographing this beautiful family. Photographing two generations of one family's milestones is the kind of trust we do not take for granted.
“Even though there was a huge thunderstorm outside of the building, inside the party was lit!”
Good to know
The Sheraton Suites Fort Lauderdale at Cypress Creek sits in the Fort Lauderdale area of Broward County, Florida, close to the city of Plantation just west of downtown Fort Lauderdale. The location is convenient to Interstate 95, Florida's Turnpike, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, which makes it a practical choice for weddings that draw family and guests flying in from out of state or abroad.
South Florida's subtropical climate means sudden thunderstorms are a normal part of the calendar, especially in the warmer months, so an all-suite indoor venue like the Sheraton is a reliable home base when the weather turns, as it did for Jessica and Kiran. Couples planning multicultural celebrations in the Fort Lauderdale and Plantation area often value a hotel venue because it keeps guests, getting-ready suites, ceremony, and reception under one roof.
