View our photographyThe Vanderbilt Mansion is a Beaux-Arts country estate in Hyde Park, in Dutchess County within New York's Hudson Valley. Now preserved as the Vanderbilt Mansion National Historic Site and administered by the National Park Service, the property sits on a bluff above the Hudson River and is one of the best-surviving examples of a Gilded Age estate in the region.
The grounds pair formal architecture with sweeping river views and mature landscaped gardens, giving a session a range of backdrops within a single, walkable estate. Because it is a National Park Service site, visitors should check current park hours, parking, and any permit or commercial-photography rules with the National Park Service before planning a session, since access and fees can change seasonally.
