Nat and Gus returned to Acromatico for a family portrait session at the historic Prado Entrance in Coral Gables, Florida, this time with their dog Brownie. Acromatico, a family-run photography and brand studio working across South Florida and New York City since 2004, had photographed Nat and Gus's wedding a few years earlier.
A few years after Acromatico photographed Nat and Gus's wedding, the couple came back for a portrait session, their family having grown to include their dog Brownie. The session took place at the Prado Entrance in Coral Gables, one of the historic ornamental gateways that mark the city.
Brownie turned out to be one of the most well-behaved dogs the studio has worked with, posing for the photos and looking straight at the camera. For Acromatico, it was a chance to work with Nat and Gus again and capture this next chapter of their family.
“This dog is one of the most well behaved dogs ever, he would pose for the photos and look straight at the camera.”
Good to know
The Prado Entrance is one of the original ornamental gateways built in the 1920s for Coral Gables, the planned city founded by George Merrick in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its coral-rock pillars, fountains, and landscaped plantings make it a recognizable landmark and a frequent backdrop for portrait and engagement photography in the area.
Coral Gables sits just southwest of downtown Miami and is known for its Mediterranean Revival architecture, tree-lined streets, and historic entrances like the Prado. For couples and families searching for a Coral Gables portrait location, the Prado Entrance offers a distinctly Old-Florida sense of place within easy reach of the wider Miami area.
