Monica and Camilo were married in Margate, Florida, with getting-ready portraits at the Coral Springs Marriott Golf Club and a reception at the Carolina Golf Club. Acromatico, a family-run South Florida and New York City photography studio founded in 2004, photographed the day, which felt true to the couple's Colombian roots.
Monica and Camilo's wedding felt true to its roots, so much so that the day seemed to carry everyone straight to Colombia. The morning getting-ready photographs were made at the beautiful Coral Springs Marriott Golf Club, with the whole family present, including Monica and Camilo's four-month-old puppy. The wedding reception was held at the Carolina Golf Club in Margate, a gorgeous setting for a celebration that stayed relaxing and fun throughout.
Acromatico had already photographed Monica and Camilo's engagement session not long before the wedding, and an after-wedding session was planned to follow. This post shares a few favorites from the wedding day itself.
“This last wedding was very true to its roots, we felt like we were taken right to Colombia.”
Good to know
The Carolina Golf Club sits in Margate, a city in northern Broward County, South Florida, just inland from Pompano Beach and Coconut Creek. Margate is part of the Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area, which keeps a Carolina Golf Club wedding within easy reach of South Florida's airports and coastal hotels for traveling guests and family.
The morning getting-ready portraits were photographed nearby at the Coral Springs Marriott Golf Club, in Coral Springs, the Broward County city directly west of Margate. Splitting the day between a getting-ready location in one city and a reception in the next is common across this part of South Florida, where Coral Springs and Margate share a border, and short drive times make a two-venue wedding day straightforward to plan.
