This Miami family session photographed the von Kretschmann family during their visit from Chile. For the photographer, it was personal: Carol von Kretschmann is her sister-in-law and the friend she calls her best friend in life. The two have known each other since they were thirteen, attended the same school, and have been close as sisters ever since, which made the chance to photograph Carol's family especially meaningful.
The session was planned as an afternoon stroll through a park. With the sun setting before there was time to finish, the last images were made at the family's home instead. By the photographer's own account, they laughed a great deal and had a wonderful time together, just like the old days.
