This is our own family session in Miami Beach, shot at South Pointe Park with a little beach mixed in. As a family of photographers, we finally booked our own portraits to mark our 8th wedding anniversary, with our team Tica and Justin behind the camera.
Being a family of photographers, we are always photographing people, weddings, events and moments, but a real family session of our own kept landing on the back burner. Our last official one was the maternity session for our little one, and life with kids has a way of filling your hands until you forget to get your own life together.
We finally said enough is enough and used our 8th wedding anniversary to do our Miami Beach family session at South Pointe Park, mixed with a little beach. We could not stop laughing afterward: mix perfect family photos with kids, parents, hunger, heat, sand and mosquitoes and it becomes far from perfect.
We are always the ones telling people how to pose, where to look and when to smile, so being on the other side was its own rollercoaster. Looking back now, we laugh, because we made it: the kids looked like they were having a good time, and you can hardly tell how hungry or tired we were. Thank you to our very own team Tica and Justin for capturing these precious memories.
“We will always and forever remember this family session.”
Good to know
We know firsthand how a Miami Beach family session really goes, kids, heat, sand and all. Let us capture your family at South Pointe Park or along the beach so you can look back years from now and laugh, because you made it.
View our photographySouth Pointe Park sits at the southern tip of Miami Beach in Florida, at the very end of South Beach where Government Cut meets the Atlantic Ocean. The park's lawns, walkways, and adjacent sand give families a single, walkable spot that pairs green open space with direct beach access, which is why it works for a portrait session that wants both a park and the ocean in the same afternoon.
Because the park is right on the water in South Beach, an afternoon shoot means real Miami heat, breeze off the ocean, and, as Acromatico learned firsthand, mosquitoes near the greenery. A family-run studio working across South Florida and New York City since 2004, Acromatico brings a dark fine-art "Brand Studio" aesthetic to portrait and brand work alike.
