Maria and Mark are a couple and close friends of Acromatico whose after-wedding session, photographed on July 5, 2010, moved through several colorful Miami locations before ending in Downtown Miami. This post shares the story behind the day and the full gallery.
Maria and Mark are a couple, and close friends of ours at Acromatico, which is exactly why this after-wedding session felt less like a shoot and more like a day out with people we love. We visited a string of spots full of nice colors before the day ended in Downtown Miami, and the results are right here.
What stood out, as it so often does here, was how friendly everyone was along the way. People in Miami seem to be genuinely enthusiastic about wedding pictures, and that warmth is part of why we love working in this city.
“This is why we love Miami! People seem to be always enthusiastic about wedding pictures!”
Good to know
Downtown Miami sits on the western shore of Biscayne Bay in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and it is one of the most photogenic stretches in the city for couples. Within walking distance you move between the high-rise skyline of the Brickell and Central Business districts, the open waterfront along Bayfront Park and Biscayne Boulevard, and the street-level color of Flagler Street and the historic core, giving a single session a wide range of backdrops without much travel between them.
An after-wedding (or post-wedding) session is photographed once the wedding day itself is over, so there is no timeline pressure and the couple can wander to several locations. Miami rewards that approach: the variety of colorful neighborhoods, the bay light, and a downtown core that is busy and welcoming all let one session cover dramatically different looks. For couples searching for a Downtown Miami wedding photographer, it is one of the easiest areas to chain together contrasting scenes in a relaxed afternoon.
