Katia and Matteo are an Italian couple Acromatico photographed in an after-wedding portrait session in Italy. Acromatico is a family-run photography and brand studio, working since 2004 across South Florida and New York City, and this set closes out a run of Italy wedding work.
This after-wedding session with Katia and Matteo was photographed in Italy, and Acromatico has called it the last Italy wedding post for a while. The hardest part was the edit: there were so many beautiful frames that narrowing the gallery down to a handful of favorites took real effort.
What made the shoot easy was the couple. Katia and Matteo were described as nothing but sweet, down to earth and friendly, and Acromatico has noted how lucky it felt to be shooting in Italy with two people who made the work fun. As the studio put it directly to them: Katia e Matteo, a stato un piacere lavorare con voi, siete una coppia bellisima. Auguiri.
“While taking the pictures we couldn't believe how lucky we were to be shooting in Italy to a beautiful couple that were nothing but sweet.”
Good to know
An after-wedding session, sometimes called a day-after shoot, is a relaxed portrait session photographed once the wedding day itself is over. It gives a couple time to wear their wedding looks again without the schedule of the ceremony and reception, which is exactly the unhurried feeling that made Katia and Matteo's set come together so naturally.
Italy is one of the most photographed wedding destinations in the world, drawing couples to its historic town centers, rolling countryside, coastlines and centuries-old architecture. For couples searching for a destination photographer who can travel, Acromatico works from a home base across South Florida and New York City and has shot weddings in Italy as part of its destination work since 2004.
