Justin is the newest photographer joining Acromatico, the family-run photography and brand studio, and this portrait session was made in Milan, Italy during the team's temporary stay there. The shoot introduces Justin in front of the lens before he moves behind the camera on future work.
While part of the Acromatico team was based in Italy for a short period, they introduced their newest member, Justin, with a portrait shoot right at their temporary base in Milan. As the studio put it, Milan is a city constantly on the go — graffiti walls, metros, old meeting new — and this session was a rare chance to see Justin in front of the lens before he started working behind the camera.
Acromatico noted that upcoming posts would mix and match locations, pairing some Milan frames with some Miami, with more work to follow. This was a team-introduction portrait session, not a client event, and it doubled as the studio's way of putting a face to the photographer followers would soon see shooting for the brand.
“Milano is a city that is constantly on the go: graffiti walls, metros, old vs new and so much more.”
Good to know
Milan is the capital of Italy's Lombardy region in the north of the country and is widely known as a center for fashion and design. Its mix of historic architecture and modern industry — the contrast of old and new that Acromatico pointed to — gives portrait and brand photographers a deep range of backdrops, from graffiti-marked walls to the city's extensive metro system. For a studio working across South Florida and New York City, a temporary base abroad is a chance to gather frames that travel back into the regular Milan-and-Miami rotation.
Acromatico is a family-run photography and brand studio founded in 2004, working across South Florida and New York City with a dark fine-art "Brand Studio" aesthetic. Team additions like Justin are part of how the studio grows its photographic capacity across those markets and beyond.
