Janel and Esteban are an underwater photo session shot by Acromatico, the family-run South Florida and New York City brand studio. By their own count our most-photographed couple, this was a just-because shoot following their engagement and after-wedding sessions, captured on the studio's then-new underwater camera.
Janel and Esteban are, by far, the most photographed clients Acromatico has worked with. From their engagement session to their after-wedding session, and now this just-because underwater session, every time we go shooting it gets better and better. This shoot also marked a first for the studio: experiencing the awesomeness of photographing a couple underwater with our new underwater camera, which loved them.
It was an amazing first for us, and one we can't wait to repeat. Scuba diving anyone?
“Janel and Esteban are by far the most photographed clients we've had.”
Good to know
South Florida is one of the most practical places in the United States to attempt underwater portraiture. The region offers warm, year-round water temperatures and a wide range of controlled and natural environments, from heated pools to the clear-water springs and reef systems the broader state is known for. That accessibility is part of why a studio can run a "just-because" underwater session here rather than waiting for a destination trip.
Acromatico is a family-run photography and brand studio founded in 2004, working across South Florida and New York City with a dark, fine-art "Brand Studio" aesthetic. Underwater sessions sit alongside engagement and post-wedding coverage as part of how we keep documenting the couples we work with over time, the way we have with Janel and Esteban across multiple shoots.
