Denise and Orlando were married at Miami's 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant, a venue whose dining room faced directly toward Miami International Airport's runway. It was a very intimate wedding, with their closest friends and family present for the evening.
Acromatico had the opportunity to photograph the celebration the night it happened, working with the spectacular runway view as a backdrop. Congratulations to the couple.
“The location had a spectacular view facing Miami Airport's airplane runway.”
Good to know
The 94th Aero Squadron was a WWI aviation-themed restaurant located on the grounds of Miami International Airport (MIA) in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its defining feature for couples was the view: large windows and terrace seating looked out directly onto an active airport runway, so guests watched aircraft taxi and take off throughout the evening. That runway-facing aspect made it a distinctive choice for the small, evening-style receptions it was built to host.
Because the setting works around the airport, the most memorable light comes at dusk, when the runway lights and the sky shift together behind the windows. The room suits intimate guest counts and a relaxed, conversational dinner rather than a large ballroom event. A photographer who knows the space will balance the warm interior against the bright runway view rather than fighting it.
