The Cardiello family, James and Keziah, photographed a combined family, baby and maternity portrait session with Acromatico at Matheson Hammock Park in Coral Gables, Florida, while expecting their second child. Their son Angelo, photographed the previous spring, was about to become a big brother.
Acromatico returned to photograph James and Keziah Cardiello as they awaited baby number two, capturing a family, baby and maternity session all in one at Matheson Hammock Park. The studio had photographed the family the previous spring, when Angelo was still a baby; now he was preparing to become a big brother.
A family-run photography and brand studio founded in 2004 and working across South Florida and New York City, Acromatico brought its dark fine-art Brand Studio aesthetic to this milestone occasion. As the studio put it in Italian, Auguri to the Cardiellos on this special chapter.
“Baby Angelo was just a baby and now he's going to be a BIG brother.”
Good to know
Matheson Hammock Park is a historic county park in Coral Gables, Florida, along Biscayne Bay just south of the Miami core. One of Miami-Dade County's oldest parks, it is known for its man-made atoll pool that fills and empties with the tides, its marina, and the dense coastal hardwood hammock and mangroves that give the park its name. Those natural backdrops, palms, bay water and filtered shade make it a popular spot for family and maternity portrait sessions.
The park sits near Old Cutler Road and is a short drive from Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, with bayfront and tree-lined settings within the same grounds. Light is softest early in the morning and in the hour before sunset, and South Florida heat and afternoon storms are worth planning around for sessions with young children. As a county park, day-use and any photography or vehicle access policies are set by Miami-Dade County, so it is worth confirming current entry details before you go.
