Vanessa (Vane) and Sebas married in South Florida on March 8, 2020, with a ceremony at the Griffin Kingdom Hall and bohemian-style portraits at the Robbins Preserve Park Lodge in Davie, Florida. Acromatico, a family-run studio working across South Florida and New York City since 2004, photographed the day.
This boho wedding was personal for Acromatico: Vanessa was one of the first photographers the studio ever trained, a learner they describe as talented, so after years of knowing her she and the studio are practically family. When she asked them to capture her bohemian vision and photograph her and Sebas's day, they went straight to work.
After the ceremony at the Griffin Kingdom Hall, the couple moved to the Robbins Preserve Park Lodge, where large trees and open fields set the scene for the veil shots. A group of donkeys turned up and put on quite a show, making a memorable backdrop for the bride and groom. The bohemian style brought out warm, loving colors in airy photos, the storytelling-behind-the-lens approach the studio considers its specialty.
“These bohemian style wedding photos feel so warm and alive.”
Good to know
Robbins Preserve is a green space in Davie, in Broward County, South Florida, and the Park Lodge there sits among the large trees and open fields that defined Vane and Sebas's portraits. Its wooded, field-edged setting suits couples after a warm, natural, bohemian look rather than a polished ballroom backdrop, and Davie's central Broward location keeps it within easy reach of Fort Lauderdale and greater Miami.
Couples searching for a Robbins Preserve wedding photographer often pair a ceremony venue with separate portrait grounds, as Vanessa and Sebas did between the Griffin Kingdom Hall and the preserve. Acromatico works across South Florida and New York City and customizes wedding coverage to a couple's preferred style, so a bohemian, story-driven shoot can be built around whichever ceremony and portrait locations you choose.
