Maryland Wedding | Kim + Toby

For this next destination wedding, we traveled to Maryland! I mean, who doesn’t love a good car trip with awesome friends and singing along to Taylor Swift’s new album?

It was the perfect day with the best weather; a nice way to finish off the summer with the last wedding of the summer season. Definitely looking forward to the cooler months (for the North East at least) and all the moody colors to come.

Kim was one of the chillest bride we’ve worked with! Toby was one of the funniest grooms we’ve had. They seriously make the perfect couple. There were a few choking up moments that had us tearing up.

I thought I’d briefly share the story behind the black and white shot with Kim sitting down looking out the window prior to putting on her wedding gown. She had just shown us a very special letter from her little sister that never got to make it to her wedding. She passed away at a young age and left her with that beautiful note and a smelly candle. Kim held it together, but we were dying inside and thought this was one of the most touching moments of the wedding. All captured by one shot.

Despite the mosquitoes killing and eating everyone alive during the first look, these guys held it together and Toby had Kim laughing the whole time. Seriously this is one of my favorite things about this newlywed couple, despite not knowing them before I can already tell how much love they have for each other and they sure will have a whole eternity of laughs and laughter to come.
