Louisiana Wedding | Maria + Randy

When our friend Maria told us she got engaged and was getting married in Louisiana and wanted us to be her photographers, we were seriously thrilled. First thing we said: NOLA HERE WE COME!

Destination weddings are always so exciting, especially when your friends (now family) are going to be there! Everyone came out from Georgia, Cleveland, Florida, all over the state. It was the perfect occasion to get together and celebrate and of course, have some fun!

This destination wedding took place in Slidell, Louisiana at the gorgeous Palmettos on the Bayou

Nothing says Louisiana more than this amazing venue surrounded by Spanish Moss, swamp, trees, string lights and more! It is located on Bayou Bonfouca and sits on the site of Roberts Landing. The waterfront location, surrounded by the stunning foliage of the marsh, provides a beautiful and natural backdrop for an outdoor wedding. Maria and Randy couldn’t have chosen a more perfect location to say their “I Do’s”.

This was such a beautiful and emotional wedding! Fun fact: all of Maria’s accessories represented all her nieces and the pieces they wore on their big day. The Tiara has been through many generations of Maduri girls, not only did this bride witness each of her nieces and daughter get married in it, but now she got to wore it herself. It’s like she had a little piece of each of her favorite girls on her. Such a special detail!

We really enjoyed spending this long weekend in Louisiana and couldn’t have had it any other way! Gators, raccoons, swamp, wedding, wild boar and crawfish! Thank you guys for letting us capture your big day, enjoy some of our faves!
