Photography is the gift that keeps on giving, after all, that’s exactly how we end up meeting most of our clients: through their very own friends.
When I met Tammy, she was walking one of our dear friend’s wedding. I never would’ve thought, just a few months later we’d be here, shooting her very own engagement sesh.
We had been planning the perfect session but the weather just didn’t seem to want to cooperate. New York has so many awesome locations and it was so hard to narrow it down to Cold Spring, but we did! The day was absolutely amazing and it was probably one of our warmest “spring” days. Cold Spring is one of my personal favorite locations, I mean, it’s got the best creamery (shot out to Moo Moo’s) and who doesn’t love Cold Spring Coffeehouse.
I don’t know about you, but this sesh was giving me all the Costa Rica vibes. For a second, I forgot I was in NY. Maybe it’s just that part of me that’s itching to hop on a plane or the fact that the tropical lands are screaming my name. Either way, Cold Spring was magical.
Tammy and Tay were such a pleasure to work with. They were absolutely down for anything, I made them get in the water and also decided to join them while my pale little feet absorbed the cold water and slipped on the rubbery rocks. Needless to say, it was worth it!
We had quite the audience and apparently were the entertainment of this spring afternoon in Cold Spring. Three washed up dead fishies landed on the rocks, and truthfully, they made art.
What do I personally love most about photography? Feeding off of people’s energies. I get what I receive and photograph what I feel. Thank you Tammy and Tay for letting me capture your story. I can’t wait to shoot your wedding! In the meantime, enjoy some of my faves:
